Comparing Persian calorie-tracking apps: what to check

A practical checklist for people who log Persian foods. This is an Avocado-authored comparison, not an independent ranking.

If you eat Persian dishes, a useful calorie tracker needs more than a long food list. Portion editing, recipe details, device access and clear account limits can matter just as much. This guide is written by Avocado, one of the products discussed, and is not an independent market review.

Start with the official product descriptions

The Persian source article compared Avocado, Karafs and Mankan using their official descriptions on 2 October 2026. It did not include hands-on testing of every competitor. Features, prices and access rules may have changed, so use the current official pages and your account as the final reference.

ProductWhat to investigate
AvocadoPhoto logging and correction, nutrition tracking, and which meal-plan, macro and fasting features require Plus.
KarafsThe food database, nutrient tracking, meal planning and availability of water or recipe tools in your edition.
MankanThe food database, calorie and goal management, macro tracking and the features included in the current version.

Official links: Karafs, Mankan and Avocado Base and Plus. An omission here does not prove a competitor lacks a feature.

Run a small test with your own meals

  1. Choose three foods you often eat, such as rice and stew, breakfast and a packaged snack.
  2. Log matching names and quantities. Keep raw and cooked weights distinct.
  3. Correct a food name and portion, then find and edit the saved meal.
  4. Check which features are available before payment and which have quotas.
  5. Read the final price, subscription term, support details and account-deletion information.

Note the time and corrections needed for your own routine. We have not run this test on your behalf and do not declare a numerical winner.

If photo logging is your priority

Evaluate the full sequence: take a photo, review suggestions, correct the quantity and save. Hidden oil and uncertain portions remain limitations. The photo-calorie guide explains them.

For international users, Avocado’s English edition uses Google sign-in. The best choice is the one that fits your foods, device and habits; no app comparison can promise weight loss.
